Member for Wannon Dan Tehan believes people living in the South West are being treated like second class citizens by the federal government following the announcment of a declared offshore winzone off the coast of Warrnambool.
The local MP addressed around 150 people at an offshore wind zone community rally at Warrnambool's Civic Green on Saturday, where he accused the Government of a botched consultation process.
He was joined by Rhonda Browne of the Southern Ocean Marine Alliance and members of the commercial fishing industry.
According to the local Member there is a lot of angst among the community with relation to the zone, in particular relating to the future of the Logans Beach Whale Nursery.
