Eudy & Tula A Tribute To Their Life - Special Feature
55m
Welcome to our special tribute to Middle Island - Maremma Penguin Project’s first full time guardian’s Eudy and Tula.
It features some never before seen footage and pictures, collected over a number of years, and stored in archives, and takes you off the island and out to the farm where Eudy, Tula and the rest of the guardians call home.
Most know the story of Oddball, but after Oddball, and when the project started full time, the first dogs specifically trained to protect the Penguin Colony of Middle Island were Eudy and Tula.
Tula passed away peacefully on Saturday, while Eudy lost her brief battle with bone cancer back in May.
Tonight, we tell you their story, from back when they first arrived in Warrnambool from a breeder in Shepparton, to when members of the project said their final goodbyes.
But this special feature is by no means something you will feel flat about after watching.
This is a celebration of the life and legacy of Eudy and Tula, and will hopefully show you how these two girls helped shape what is an extremely bright future for the project, under the watchful eyes of Eudy and Tula’s successors, Mezzo, Isola, and Oberon.
It will also hopefully inspire you to keep supporting this world leading conservation project, right here in our back yard.
